Project Manager
We’re Altos—an award-winning digital agency based in Southern New Hampshire, but passionately working remotely and at our branded hub in Bedford, NH. We are searching for an agency-experienced, highly-motivated Project Manager who lives locally and is ready to support our growing portfolio of national clients.
At Altos, the Project Manager monitors project goals to ensure that milestones are met, timelines are achieved, and all scopes of work and recurring services are delivered on time and on-budget. In this position, you will make a direct impact on the efficiency and profitability of our existing production process, and in turn, you’ll receive accolades and earn trust from a team that recognizes and appreciates great work.
To be successful as a Project Manager at Altos, you must be a detail-oriented planner, a proactive and professional communicator, and a fair and honest negotiator.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Project Manager monitors Teamwork daily to track time spent on projects/tasks. It is his/her responsibility to raise the red flag immediately when time spent starts exceeding the budget.
- The Project Manager is required to get and share project updates from internal and external resources daily.
- The Project Manager consistently communicates production concerns (i.e. time has exceeded budget) to appropriate team members (i.e. those responsible for doing the work and those delivering the work to clients).
- The Project Manager is responsible for scheduling Discovery and Project Kick-off meetings as well as documenting project decisions made during those meetings in Teamwork.
- The Project Manager is responsible for drafting clean, accurate, detailed Scopes of Work by consolidating details available in the Proposal, Client Discovery session, and post-Discovery download meeting. The Project Manager sends the SOW draft to the AM for review, approval and presentation to the client.
- After an onboarding period of 60 days, the Project Manager will have a full understanding of Altos’ production capacity and the relationship between design, development and marketing resources.
- The Project Manager will lead weekly Production Meetings to provide status updates, raise red flags when necessary and/or provide assurance that the team’s progress is on-time and on-budget.
- The Project Manager routes deliverables through clients for review and/or approvals.
- The Project Manager contributes to Altos’ QA process, ensuring that all deliverables are complete and free from errors and omissions. This serves to protect Altos’ high standards for craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
- The Project Manager will review incoming requests to support@altos to be sure the changes requested, or the issue identified are well understood. If there are any outstanding questions or assets needed, the Project Manager is responsible for making those reach-outs to clients.
- The Project Manager will track 95% of his/her 40 hours each week. 65-70% of available time is expected to be billable.
- The Project Manager will prepare and facilitate 2-3 thirty-minute Project Recap meetings each quarter.
- The Project Manager manages the Support queue, including client requested website edits and issues, and larger, continuous engineering projects.
- The Project Manager oversees an ever-changing forecast and production schedule leveraging a variety of resources. including internal teams (design, development, and marketing) and external vendors/partners.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 5 years agency AND project management experience.
- Must be highly-organized with a reputation for big-picture thinking and attention to detail.
- Must place a high value on “team” and “trust” because both are important to us.
- Must have the ability to discern what information should be delivered by an AM vs. PM.
- Strong problem-solving, written and verbal skills.
- Committed to craftsmanship and high quality work.
- Prior agency experience is required.
- Must be open to learning “agency” math; have enthusiasm to think like an “owner”; and be party of a team that collectively share a growth mindset.
