The Showroom: Adapt to Changing Retail Environments
The brick and mortar retail experience as we know it has changed dramatically since the turn of the century. With the advent of smart devices, customers are only ever two or three taps away from checking the inventory and prices of your nearest competitor. Before partnering with Altos, Curava found its digital presence lacking when it came to their customers’ needs. Their revolutionary product was trapped behind a website unsuited for retail shoppers on the move. We were ready to develop a site for them that would mesh well with a new generation of technologically savvy shoppers.
In addition to a total site redesign, we worked with the client to implement a cart on their site for customers to ship samples directly to their home or worksite. By its nature, Curava is meant to be experienced in person, and getting samples into customers’ hands is a critical element of the client’s strategy. On top of this, our Marketing Support Team helped shape and hone Curava’s social media voice, and broadened its reach. As a result, Curava’s organic growth and engagement rates are better than company’s many times larger than itself. Altos enabled Curava to sync its digital strategy to the new paradigm of retail shopping.
A Virtual Showroom
Curava’s line of sustainable countertop materials depends on conveying its unique style and colors well both on the screen and off. We had to ensure the website played to the visuals of the client’s product. Not only that, we had to make it look good across a variety of devices and screens. We wanted to create a virtual showroom for customers to browse, either from the comfort of their kitchen, or while walking around a big box DIY retailer. The visual nature of the product proved to be a rich vein for our designers to tap into, and the result is a site that’s as gorgeous as the products it features.
