The Scoop: Building a fresh website for a new local eatery

The folks at Talia’s Breakfast Eatery in Londonderry came to us with a simple request, can you build us a website and social media presence? The project presented one very unique challenge. Their siblings, who are fellow restaurateurs and Altos clients, are also opening a new restaurant, in a different market. We were tasked with designing a web presence and social media campaign that gave Talia’s its own voice and point of differentiation. Not only from all other restaurants in their market, but from their siblings brand new place, Tucker’s.

The Menu & More

After the discovery period our designers set out to create a unique presence for Talia’s knowing there could be a severe case of sibling rivalry on the line. The inspiration for the website came in a flash Talia’s menu. The site is designed to give users on both desktop and mobile devices easy access to the information they want most, what is one the menu! Providing the content users want in a manner that is easy to navigate is a key component of the user experience. Talia’s delivers a vibrant fresh look for a brand that is named after a precocious toddler.

Superb Social Interaction

Superb Social Interaction

Restaurants and coffee shops are the original social media. People gather to hang out, share stories, chat, laugh, etc. That makes social media the perfect marketing tool for any restaurant, and Talia’s wanted to capture that market. Starting with a Facebook campaign that chronicled the renovation of the space, the menu planning etc., Altos was able to create a “buzz” around the business. Now Talia’s posts daily specials, new menu items and even announced the arrival of Talia’s little sister, to great fanfare. Additionally, Talia’s uses Twitter to communicate with customers and announce specials and promotions.
